Check out some of the dishes you can cook at home using any of our seasonings.
Curry Chicken
- Remove the skin and clean the chicken. If you use ¼ of the legs, cut it in about four pieces.
- Wash in water mixed with vinegar and lemon or lime juice. Then, put it in a pot, and add water to about one inch above the chicken.
- Add 3 tablespoons or 1 oz. of Oscar’s Curry Seasoning per lb. of chicken.
- You can also add some cut carrots and Irish potatoes. * No need to add thyme, onion, or any other seasoning. Everything is already in there.
- Cover the pot and cook until it’s ready to eat.
Stew Chicken
- Remove the skin and clean the chicken. If you’re using 1/4 legs, cut it in about two or three pieces.
- Wash it in water mixed with vinegar and lemon or lime juice. Put it in a pot, and add water to about one inch above the chicken.
- Add 1 1/2 tablespoons or 1/2 oz. of Oscar’s All-Purpose Seasoning per lb. of chicken.
- Add ketchup and a little burnt sugar or browning for color.
- You can add some cut carrots and bell pepper. * No need to add thyme, onion, or any other seasoning. Everything is already in there.
- Cover the pot and cook until it’s ready to eat.
Fish
- Clean and wash the fish in water mixed with vinegar and lemon or lime juice.
- 2. Put it in a saucepan, and add water to about 1/2 inches. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons or 1/2 oz. of Oscar’s Fish Seasoning per lb. of fish. You can add a little ketchup if you wish.
- 3. You may also add some cut carrots and broccoli near the end of cooking. *No need to add thyme, onion, or any other seasoning. Everything is already in there.
- 4. Cover the pot and cook until it’s ready to eat.
Jerk Chicken
- Do not remove the skin because the chicken will be very dry.
- 2. Clean and wash the chicken in water with vinegar and lemon or lime juice.
- 3. If it’s a whole chicken, cut into the backbone so that the chicken can lay flat.
- 4. Use 2 tablespoons or 1/2 oz. of Oscar’s Jerk Seasoning per lb. of chicken. Rub all over the chicken. Allow it to marinate for one or more hours.
- 5. Put it in the oven or on the grill.
Oxtail
- Clean and wash oxtail in water mixed with vinegar and lemon or lime juice. *This will take a long time to cook.
- Put the oxtail in a pot with plenty of water because this will take a long time to cook. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of Oscar’s Oxtail Seasoning per lb. of oxtail.
- Cook it until it starts to get soft, then add some cut carrots and bell pepper.
- About five minutes before it’s completely cooked, you can add some canned butter beans. *No need to add thyme, onion, or any other seasoning. Everything is already in there.
Soup
- For soup, add 1 1/2 tablespoons of Oscar’s Soup Seasoning per quart. You don’t need to add anything else.
Roasting and Grilling
- Clean and wash meat, chicken, or fish in water mixed with vinegar and lemon or lime juice.
- Use 1 1/2 tablespoon of Oscar’s Roasting and Grilling Seasoning, and rub all over the meat.
- Marinate for 1/2 an hour or more.
- Cook the meat in the oven, saucepan, or grill.
